I'm actually not sure of everything but I do know they engage in facebook and snaptchat.  But one of my sons plays games a lot he is 19 so discipline in this area is difficult.

Miss 17 uses facebook, instagram, snapchat and prob other things. I am friends with her on facebook and instagram (but not her "private" instagram). I don't have snapchat. Sorry @Beingme2017 I copied some of your post!

Hi @Zoesplace. As far as I'm aware, there are no (legal) mobile apps that will allow you to track the geo-location of someone elses phone. The potential for it to be misused is just too great. There are some wristband-style GPS trackers but I think it would be difficult to get a teenager to agree to wear one!

My daughter tells me you can see your friends locations on snapchat - but the kids know so they can turn off the feature.

@Zoesplace There are phones that parents can buy that have trackers built in.

Apparently it's big in circles where abduction for ransoms is a concern.

Would you do that?

It seems the mobile phone is actually part of their body.  If they lose it or break it, it has to be replaced ASAP!  This is the generation and I can't get my head around this type of thinking.

There is a SnapMap feature on Snapchat @taokat. It should be turned off by default, but otherwise you can set it to Ghost Mode by pinching the screen on the photo view to access the settings.
