How do I advise my child on purchasing items similar to what was already own. Eg. Mobile phones of different specs and brands.  My child always have reasons that its an upgrade.

It can be really tough when kids always want the latest phone or console or whatever else is on trend! Especially when there seems to be new devices coming out so often. 

I'm wondering how old your child is? And are they asking you to buy these things for them or are they using their own money to do so?
