Hi there,

If you have been watching the news lately, you may have noticed that conversations around coronavirus have been resurfacing. As we send our kids and teens back to school after the holidays, many of us may be feeling nervous about their chances of becoming ill and passing covid on to friends and loved ones once again. While it seems that everyone is trying to get some routine and normalcy back into their lives, we want to acknowledge that this is still a really tough time for many. If you are feeling anxious about coronavirus or are impacted in any way, you do not have to struggle in silence, ReachOut are here for you and your families.

We thought it might be helpful to remind you of the resources available to help you support your teen dealing with coronavirus and the impact it may be having on their life.

If you’re looking for resources for supporting your teen during coronavirus, ReachOut has a range of helpful articles that you can browse through here.

If you find it helpful to chat and connect with other parents in the community going through something similar, there is a space for this in the ReachOut Parent Community Forums. This link will take you to the parenting and covid space, where you can join in on a conversation or start your own topic related to parenting and covid.

It’s a very stressful time for parents too, don’t forget to check-in with yourself and look after your own well-being. ReachOut has some great tips on this, you can find these here. We would love to hear about some of the things you have been doing to cope during this tough time, feel free to share these in the comments.
