Hi Parents Community!
ReachOut Australia is currently recruiting for our next group of parents to help us review content for the ReachOut Parents site before it's published!
We want to represent our audience as best we can, and we currently have an imbalance between Mums and Dads, so we're looking for dads. We would love to hear from any dads, or male carers, of teens aged 12-18 who'd be interested in giving us their opinion on new content for ReachOut Parents.
If you are a dad or know any dads of teenagers who would be interested in helping us improve the wellbeing and mental health of teens and parents around Australia then please pass on this post, or send them to the link below to submit an expression of interest!
You can also contact Anna at email@example.com if you have any questions.
A little bit more information about the Advisory group:
ReachOut Parents is part of ReachOut – Australia’s leading online mental health and wellbeing service for young people. Free and accessible 24/7, we provide parents and carers with practical tips, tools and strategies to help you strengthen your relationship with your teenager so that you can better support them through everyday issues and tough times.
It's really important to us that the content we create is relevant and useful for the parents who use the service. We're after a group of diverse parents, caregivers and family to review content and give us feedback.
Basically, once a month we would send you 3-4 pieces of content (articles, videos or infographics) and you'd check them out and answer a feedback form. You would be on the task force for a 6 month period. You would receive $30 for every content pack completed, and an extra $50 at the end of the 6 month period if you complete at least 80% of the surveys. Plus you'll be contributing to make our service even better for parents just like you.
The only experience you need is being a caregiver of at least one 12-18 year old and especially looking for people who are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, speak a language at home other than English, from regional, rural or remote areas or are single parents.
***You don't need to be strictly 'a parent.' We also welcome family and community who are carers to teens.
