Gladly. 12 year old asked grandmother to stay at their home over the holidays and they said yes. However, while visiting she was supposed to be staying at a cousins house for the first time. They float between houses when visiting for the holidays and it was the cousins first then to have them. Would the 12 year old understand that?

Hi @Walkie thanks for the information. I think if you explained it to them as you have here then they would hopefully understand. There's not really a clear cut answer as it depends on the individual as to how they will respond or react. Being as clear as possible and explaining the reasons why will assist with any feelings of disappointment. Hope this helps.
