My daughter has always had trouble making and keeping friends. Consequently, I have changed her high school twice (she will be in year 10 this year) she now wants to go back to her local high school, as she has made friends on social media. However, I want her to stay at her current school. My reasoning is that it is an independent school with small class sizes and had a teacher and aid in every class. She is behind academically because of school changes and depression. This is the better option academically. Do I chance it with the local school (if she does make friends she will be mentally better off) Or, do I put my foot down and insist that she should keep these friends for after school, and stay to develop her learning??
