Son took his own life

My 30 year old son ended his life in February after a long struggle with his mental health. He really did have so much to live for. He lived with us for the last few months of his life. Everything just spiralled out of control as we tried to help him during this time. The evening before, I pleaded with emergency services to help but got nowhere. Was told during a 999 call for ambulance to phone out of hours to see if they would help. Yes. I do blame myself for his death but I have also lost respect for our emergency services.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your son - that must have been so devastating.

I can't imagine how it must have felt for you to be begging for help, and not to get it, and then to lose your son - it's heartbreaking to hear that you and your son were left so unsupported.
