October is Mental Health Month!
Every October we celebrate mental health month across Australia with the aim to talk about, raise awareness of and promote action for mental health and wellbeing! Organisations across the country will be acknowledging this month with events, activities and discussions! While every state does things individually to celebrate mental health month, the purpose is still the same!
This year’s Mental Health Month theme from Way Ahead (NSW) is “Share the journey”:
“Share the Journey is all about ways we can connect with others, both for our own health and wellbeing, as well as theirs.” Way Ahead 2019
To read more about Mental Health Month, you can check out the Way Ahead Website here! You can also search for calendars of events in your local state or city! Here are a few places you can get involved: New South Wales, Melbourne (Victoria), Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania, Northern Territory, Canberra and ACT
How will the forums be celebrating Mental Health Month?
It looks like you’re visiting us from a country other than Australia.
We are an Australian service and think you’d benefit more from looking up a similar service in your country.
You are welcome to look around the forums, but please don’t make an account or post, as we can’t offer you the help you may need.
Before you go ahead and post, you should know that we remove non-Australian accounts – not because we don’t want to help or connect with you, but because we may not be able to provide you with the service that you require.
