What do you want to talk about?

Based on conversations we had with parents in the past, we are planning to do a monthly facilitated chat here on the forums.

It would be a thread like this, but we all meet at a certain time and reply and talk in real time. We thought on a Wednesday, at about 8pm for an hour, talking about the things that matter most to us...

Question 1: would you come?

We were thinking about calling it a a "Wednesday Wrap" and doing one in 2 weeks time...

Question 2: So, what would you want to talk about?

Should it be a set topic or just whatever we feel like at the time?

If it's a set topic we could talk about one of the top issues posted in the community so far:

Or we could talk about current issues going on -

- Safe schools

- Getting help when facing long waiting lists, and over stretched mental health services

- Young people embrace text message reminders to help curb binge drinking

etc

Or tell us your ideas!!

We'd love to hear from you...

I would come. I'd like to hear other parents' ideas on pocket money and chores. I know - mundane! Sometimes life is like that. Smiley LOL

Re: What do you want to talk about?

Hey @twentyfive, awesome to hear... I think we decided at the end of the last discussion to talk about helping teens get or stay in casual/part-time work...

What do you think?
