Communication is such a powerful tool - and it really sounds like your intuitive and proactive approach to parenting your teen is paying off. I can't imagine it's been easy, but you've done so incredibly to work with, instead of against, your daughter's choices - keeping her safe, and your relationship stronger.

I cannot imagine the pain, confusion, fear, anger etc that you must feel during these times. I have learned much more from your sharing than any advice I could possibly offer.
