Getting over a migraine from 2 days ago, due to a teenage daughter causing stress. She turned 19 today and was very rude to her 8 year old sister because apparently she didn't want any birthday presents from her. She refused to open them and said that she didn't want them. My 8 year old was heartbroken. I kept one present and gave some of the presents to my 8 year old to keep. Whilst the 8 year old was at school, my 19 year old went through the 8 year olds room and retrieved the presents because she changed her mind. I retrieved one of them back. I am fuming because the oldest one went through her sisters stuff. I am left wondering how to handle the situation. I have an 8 year daughter, who is highly anxious, most of the time, due to her 18 year old sister being disrespectul and manipulative. I am trying to help my 18 year old move out. I also neef to take my 8 year old to counselling. I have a hit brick wall because the psychologist, who treated my 8 year old, 2 years ago, is now charging $200 per hour. However, I have recently found a local family counselling centre who charges $25 per hour. Apparenytly, there is a child psychologist based there. I have just been rejected by a close friend. 5 friend rejections in 4 years is too much I am tired of the judgements and accusations. It has triggered my ptsd. I am tired of being hurt over and over again. All of I have ever done is tried to help them. I have a 18 year daughter, almost 19. She is still living at home with us, but has disconnected herself from us. She is demanding, disrespectful and has been giving me the silent treatment for 5 weeks. She locks herself in her bedroom and only leaves the house when she goes to work. She barely eats and sneaks food into her bedroom. She keeps saying that she wants to move out. I found out yesterday that she has been using her 8 year old sister to spy on us and to pass on information. We told her last night that the manipulation has to stop immediately and if her behaviour does not change she has to move out. However it has fallen on deaf ears, because she was caught out tonight trying to use her sister again. I am in the procees of trying to find other accommodation so that she can move out. I have to protect my other two children. Unfortunately, she only had a part time job and gets youth allowance. So she is on a very tight budget. Not sure which is worse, a demanding sulky teenager or a teenager giving me the silent treatment for the past 4 weeks. The whole thing is triggering anxiety and giving me headaches and nightmares. I have an 18 year old daughter who finished school just over a year ago. Since turning 18 she thinks that she can have her own house rules whilst living in the family home. She had isolated herself in her bedroom.for 2.5 weeks, she only leaves the house for work 1 - 2 days per week. She throws tantrums when she doesn't get her own way, she is defensive, argumentive and rude at home. she is manipulative and trys to play me against hubby. she is rude to her younger brother and sister. she does not speak to me at all. she blames everything on me.
