How refreshing for me to have a relatively "normal" question to throw out there....   My daughter is 16, has started seeing a boy a year older & every time they're together she ends up with a neck covered in hickies. I think it makes her look trashy.  She says it's her body & she has no problem with it. It repulses me.   She is a virgin & sees no connection to allowing a boy to do this & it leading somewhere else. They lie together & kiss & touch & to me this is leading somewhere. I've even taken her to the dr to discuss contraception ... she came out with nothing but pamphlets coz she says she doesn't need them.   We're butting heads and it's causing a real issue between us. My daughter is 14 mths post breakdown & subsequent diagnosis of Severe depression & OCD. Got to a better place & had a good couple of mths recently. Requests from the start of the year to change school had resurfaced (she had settled back in to school before that & was happy) but I am extremely concerned about her changing at the start of HSC - losing Great subjects she has managed to get for next year & very supportive friends she has around her at her current school. But the issue has perhaps contributed to her getting to a bad place. She messed up her arm in the toilet at school last week (never to die - but to cause pain). Then on  Monday she called me from school about 230. Her teacher had let her step out of class. She was begging me to let her change schools saying that the kids are in her business. They're probably wanting to talk to her about what's up & she doesn't want to talk to anyone. She wouldn't let me pick her up and had to go back in to class so she wouldn't get in trouble ( I called her case worker who trying to get her into a cancellation with the psychiatrist tomorrow).   She was found later in the loo by a friend. She was in a crying mess (she rarely cries) and her brother had just come out of exam so this girl found him & he brought her home. I tried to talk to her when I got home from work but that was hopeless & she ran away to a friends house for a couple of hours. I am beyond overwhelmed by all of this. I can't think straight. And I'm concerned for my son as well. So I texted her whilst she was at her friends house & said that this going on is not fair on him trying to concentrate on his exams so for 2 weeks we are not discussing is & she is not going to school because I am concerned for her safety there. I need to be careful with this post as we can't discuss medication names etc but I'm curious to know if anyone has dealt with issues of thinning blood from Anti-depressants or Anti-psychotic medications. My daughter has been on these for about a year. Last week she got a tiny cut on her knee & bled A LOT. I thought it was odd but blew it off until 3-4 days later she started bleeding in both eyes. Platelets "within normal range" and coagulations must have been fine as I didn't get the call to say they weren't. The Dr said he thought she must've rubbed her eyes in her sleep & made them bleed .. but ... both??? I can't relax about this one but hope it's nothing.  (dr google didn't help btw :p )  ... View more
